Coleman Restaurant at Normandy Farm

Coleman Restaurant is located at Normandy Farm in the heart of Blue Bell, on the corner of Dekalb Pike (Rt. 202) and Morris Road. This property dates back to 1730 as a working farm. In the mid 1800's the Franklin House was built on to the farm. This house was built as a tavern that offered food and lodging to travelers. This is believed to be the main house where the restaurant is located today.
When arriving at Coleman's you enter on Morris Road. The restaurant offers plenty of free parking. They also offer valet parking if you are there for dinner. When entering this establishment enter into the lobby of the hotel. The lobby reminds you of a cottage or maybe a ski lodge, it makes you feel like you are at home. Throughout the lobby, restaurant, restrooms, hotel rooms fresh cut flowers are everywhere. Also through the colder months you can always find the fire places in full use. The colors that are used through out the lobby, restaurant, and hotel rooms are very warm and the woods are very dark and rich. These work well with the overall decor of Coleman's.
Coleman's has many functions. It is a great place to have lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch. If you are planning a wedding Coleman's maybe your ideal place. Not only do they offer wonderful packages for the wedding you could get married out doors or in. Coleman's is also very convenient if you have out of town guess. Having a hotel on the property allows your guess the convenience of not having to travel in an area they are not familiar with. This also eliminates the hassle of having to rent a car or a bus for your guess. They also offer conference rooms which works well if you have a local business and you are looking to have a meeting and, or lunch out of the office, or if you have clients coming in from out of town you could have the meeting in one of the conference hall at the hotel. In this day and age everyone is looking for convenience and that is something that Coleman's offers.
Coleman's Restaurant is founded by Jim Coleman of the Philadelphia Restaurant School. Many of the foods offered here, are food that found there roots in Pennsylvania. Jim Coleman also can be seen on CN8 daily. He has a few cooking shows that are filmed either at Coleman's or the Restaurant School downtown.
Coleman Restaurant is a wonderful place to just share a meal with someone important or to celebrate a special occasion. Reservations are recommended but not required. If this is your first time enjoying Coleman's I would recommended going for brunch. This allows you to sample many of Coleman' s selections for the best price offered. At brunch you can experience everything from an egg bar where you can create your own omelet with pretty much any item you can think of. Plus if you like seafood they have a wonderful raw bar with clams and oyster. They also offer peel and eat shrimp and crab claws. If eggs and seafood doesn't tickle your palate many other options are offered. You have your choice of 4 to 6 salads on any given Sunday. A fresh fruit tray that looks truly like a work of art. while also offering your traditional Brunch items such as pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, muffins and much more. Or if you just have a sweet tooth they have an out of this world dessert selection everything from mini cheesecakes and tarts to homemade pies and cakes. Make sure you pace your self correctly so you have room to try everything if you are dinning at Coleman's for brunch.
If Brunch is not your style then lunch at the farm is another way of trying out the restaurant. If you can get a way in the middle of the day for lunch this is a place to experience. They have a wide selection for lunch as well. You can have soup or a salad if you are looking for the lighter fair and the lobster corn chowder is to die for. They also offer a wide selection of sandwiches and burgers. You could also do soup and a 1/2 of sandwich. At the same time you could have a heartier lunch with crab cakes or a steak. Coleman's offers something for everyone while keeping the price fair for the lurch crowd. Finding your self at Coleman's for dinner is a very charming experience. The dinner menu has a larger selection then lunch. When having diner at Coleman's you can choice from a number of different entrees. Anything from seafood, veal, chicken, or vegetarian. One of the house specialties would have to be the Chicken Oscar. What is nice about the Oscar is the crab meat is pure crab meat, not with a lot of filler. You will receive nice sweet pieces of crab on a chicken breast. Coleman's has a lot to offer anytime you are dinning with them. If you are dinning with them on a holiday make sure to check out the special holiday menu. And Always save room for dessert because chef Coleman's has his specialties. If you enjoyed your dinning experience the way i did and would like to learn to cook like a pro Coleman's offers cooking classes. This allows you to take a little of Normandy Farms home with you.

This restaurant is very nostalgic. From the posters and sign on the walls to the furniture and the music you are listening to, everything makes you feel like you have stepped back in time.

They offer a selection of salads and even a burger made of a portobello mushroom. For those of you, that are looking for a burger Cheeburger has a treat in store for you. They have five different burger sizes from a one ponder to the smallest which is a 5.5oz.. All burgers are handmade with 100% Black Angus Beef. If you do not eat beef or just not in the mood for a burger, Cheeburger does have a selection of chicken meals and they even have a chicken burger on the menu. When ordering a drink to wash down your meal you can create many different soda flavors or choose from over 50 different milkshakes. Do not forget to order the Frings. Cheeburger Cheeburger has three locations in the Pennsylvania are Langhorne, Chalfont, and Frazer. I have had the pleasure of dinning at two of the area restaurants and I can honestly say that both the Chalfont and Frazer location lived up to my expectations.
